Charlie McCreevy was the Republic of Ireland's Minister of Finance until 2004 when he resigned to become Ireland's European Commissioner with responsibility for the European Internal Market and Services. He was born in Sallins, County Kildare in 1949 and before his term as Irish Finance Minister he had held other ministerial posts. He is a former chartered accountant. Click here for his website |
